SOC Analyst

Job Description

In the role of SOC Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring and defending against cyber threats. Your insights and expertise will help to protect our organization’s network and systems from malicious activities. You will analyze security incidents, conduct investigations, and support the team in implementing remediation measures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time.
• Conduct thorough security investigations and document findings.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to enhance security posture.
• Analyze trends in security incidents to improve response strategies.
• Regularly update security policies and procedures.
• Maintain incident reports and tracking documentation.
• Participate in security audits and assessments.
• Provide training and awareness to staff on security best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Additional certifications in cybersecurity are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security operations

Technical Skills

• Penetration Testing
• Firewall Configuration

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Security Operations Center (SOC) experience: Direct experience working in a SOC environment is highly beneficial.
