Job Description

As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental strategies aimed at reducing pollution and enhancing sustainability efforts. You will work closely with project managers to guide compliance with environmental laws and practices, ensuring our projects align with both local and international environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to improve waste management practices.
• Advise on environmental legislation and regulatory changes.
• Assist in public education and outreach on environmental issues.
• Analyze data to inform environmental management decisions.
• Report findings and recommendations to stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Higher degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting

• GIS Software

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
