Job Description

Join our Port Elizabeth pharmacy as a Pharmacist, where your expertise will aid in delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care. You will be responsible for managing prescriptions, leading medication therapy management sessions, and advising patients on the safe and effective use of their medications.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications and provide recommendations.
  • Initiate and maintain communication with prescribers regarding patient goals.
  • Lead educational programs for patients on the use of medications.
  • Monitor potential drug interactions and side effects.
  • Perform health screenings and immunizations as needed.
  • Oversee stock levels and liaise with suppliers.
  • Ensure an organized and clean pharmacy environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance and safety programs.
  • Provide support and training to new staff members.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • In-depth hospital pharmacy training is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years in community or hospital pharmacy
