We are seeking a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will assess risks associated with insuring properties and individuals, using data to make informed decisions on coverage. This role requires a keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills to evaluate the potential costs of claims.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims history to inform future underwriting decisions.
• Work closely with actuaries to establish pricing for new products.
• Provide support in the development of new insurance products.
• Review reinsurance agreements and assess their impact on risk.
• Attend seminars and workshops to advance underwriting skills.
• Participate in audits of underwriting policies and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or a related field
