Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Pharmacist to join Local Pharmacy Inc. You will be responsible for interpreting prescriptions, consulting with healthcare providers, and ensuring the safe distribution of medications. Your work will facilitate better health outcomes in the Port Elizabeth community through dedicated service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper storage and security of medications.
• Perform medication reviews and adjustments as needed.
• Assist in developing health education materials for patients.
• Provide guidance in therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Lead initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles within the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a registered Pharmacist

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical Knowledge
• Patient Counseling

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Empathy

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in Community Pharmacy: Prior experience working in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Software: Familiarity with pharmacy management systems.
