Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of various construction projects. Your contributions will help shape the built environment and ensure compliance with all pertinent building codes and safety laws.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Perform calculations to ensure structures are designed correctly for load and stress factors.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to foster collaboration.
  • Prepare and present project proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate structural designs and implement necessary modifications.
  • Manage client and contractor communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Secure permits and ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and mitigate potential design risks.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to keep skills current in structural design.
  • Enhance engineering resources by documenting and sharing knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis
