Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our talented team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and analyzing various structures including buildings and bridges. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects comply with relevant standards and regulations, working closely with architects and other engineers to deliver safe and sustainable designs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural assessments and propose solutions for rehabilitation projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to innovate and implement design solutions.
• Oversee junior engineers and provide mentorship.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project progress and modifications.
• Prepare and present project proposals to stakeholders.
• Ensure the accuracy of project budgets and estimates.
• Promote sustainability practices in project design.
• Document and review project outcomes to enhance future practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in engineering consulting or relevant experience
