Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our talented team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and analyzing various structures including buildings and bridges. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects comply with relevant standards and regulations, working closely with architects and other engineers to deliver safe and sustainable designs.

Responsibilities

• Design earthquake-resistant structures using simulation software.
• Conduct material selection and quality assessment.
• Collaborate with government bodies for permits and legal compliance.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates as necessary.
• Ensure that all documentation is completed timely and accurately.
• Research new materials and techniques to incorporate into projects.
• Foster relationships with clients and contractors.
• Develop risk management plans for ongoing projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in engineering consulting or relevant experience
