IT Support Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic IT department as an IT Support Technician in Bloemfontein. You will be responsible for helping users with hardware and software issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and providing exceptional customer service. We are looking for a proactive individual with a keen interest in IT.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper functioning of computer systems and network connections.
• Identify and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.
• Assist in managing IT projects and schedules.
• Conduct IT training sessions and workshops for staff.
• Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Certification in ITIL or similar is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or technical assistance roles

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Remote Support Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ticketing systems: Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems is advantageous.
• Understanding of database management: Basic knowledge of SQL or other database technologies.
