Responsibilities

• Oversee security system configurations and updates.
• Evaluate and test security products for effectiveness.
• Work with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with security measures.
• Document policies, procedures, and security measures for the organization.
• Conduct periodic reviews and updates of security awareness training programs.
• Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.
• Act as point of contact for cybersecurity training programs.
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in security analysis or related fields

Technical Skills

• Risk Management
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements: Understanding of cybersecurity laws and regulations relevant to South Africa.
• Experience with security framework implementation: Experience implementing security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
