Interior Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interior Planner with strong design sensibilities to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of spatial planning, lighting, and color theory.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design solutions tailored to client specifications.
• Conduct thorough assessments of spaces to maximize functionality.
• Work alongside architects and builders to achieve cohesive results.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Create mood boards and material samples for client review.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Encourage sustainable practices in design decisions.
• Document design processes for future reference.
• Train and mentor junior staff as needed.
• Foster strong client relationships through effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
• Master's degree in Interior Architecture or similar is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in practical interior design projects

Technical Skills

• 3D Rendering Software
• BIM Software

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal skills
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Event Space Design: Proven track record in designing functional and appealing event spaces.
