Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer in Cape Town who possesses a strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools. The ideal candidate will integrate operations and development, automating processes and ensuring smooth production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the software development lifecycle by automating repetitive tasks.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and systems.
  • Analyze logs for performance trends and anomalies.
  • Liaise with product owners to gather requirements for new features.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide root-cause analysis.
  • Spearhead the adoption of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions regarding cloud strategy and technology improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or DevOps
