Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Tester to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The right candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing processes. You will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to create effective testing strategies, identify defects, and contribute to our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans.
• Design and implement automated tests where applicable.
• Identify software discrepancies and recommend solutions.
• Work directly with team members to improve product quality.
• Maintain documentation of test results and issues.
• Collaborate in sprint planning to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews.
• Contribute to process enhancement discussions.
• Engage in user acceptance testing.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Information Technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in software testing

Technical Skills

• Manual Testing
• Automation Tools (Selenium, JUnit)
• SQL

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication

Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester
• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies: Familiar with Agile principles and participation in Scrum processes.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter): Experience in performance testing and analysis.
