Actuarial Modeler

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Actuarial Modeler to join our team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in actuarial science and experience in developing and validating actuarial models to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and validate actuarial models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Analyze actuarial data and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Support the financial reporting process by providing actuarial insights.
• Review and enhance existing actuarial practices and procedures.
• Engage in continuous learning to maintain knowledge of actuarial standards and software.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and compliance documents.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in actuarial modeling or related field

• Financial Modeling

Certifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
