Join us as a Security Architect in Johannesburg, where you will lead the design and execution of our security architecture and strategy. This position demands a deep understanding of technical security aspects, including network security, application security, and information security governance. You will be responsible for assessing the security of existing systems, recommending improvements, and staying ahead of new cybersecurity trends and threats. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our enterprise and protecting client data.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee the implementation of robust security practices across the organization.
• Evaluate existing security systems and recommend improvements.
• Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Work closely with developers to integrate secure coding practices.
• Lead cross-department teams in achieving compliance standards.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to incidents.
• Documentation of security incidents and mitigation efforts.
• Advise the management on security updates and technology advancements.
• Create security awareness programs for employees.
• Act as a point of contact for security-related issues in the organisation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master’s degree in a cybersecurity discipline is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in security architecture role
