Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our Johannesburg team. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage and resolve technical issues efficiently while providing outstanding support to our users. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software problems, assisting with network configurations, and ensuring the timely resolution of technical incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop and laptop configurations.
  • Assist in training users on new software applications.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
  • Keep records of support tickets and resolutions.
  • Assist with network monitoring and maintenance.
  • Work with vendors for hardware repairs.
  • Prioritize support requests based on urgency and impact.
  • Participate in IT team meetings to discuss ongoing challenges and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field
  • MCSE or similar certification is an advantage
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support roles
