Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will focus on optimizing production processes and enhancing operational efficiency within our manufacturing facility. You will play a key role in analyzing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate process bottlenecks and develop solutions to enhance production flow.
• Design and implement layout improvements to optimize workflow.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop preventative measures for operational issues.
• Collaborate with management to set production targets and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations within the manufacturing environment.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve operational issues as they arise.
• Engage in value stream mapping to identify waste and enhance efficiency.
• Assist in the development of training programs related to process improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Certifications

• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus
