Public Health Specialist

Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will develop and implement innovative health programs focused on improving community well-being. You will be responsible for data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the promotion of health education initiatives. An understanding of public health challenges in South Africa and effective communication skills are essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage public health campaigns aimed at reducing health disparities within communities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective program implementation.
• Present health findings to public health officials and policy makers.
• Engage and mobilize communities in health initiatives to maximize participation.
• Provide technical assistance to partners in public health programming.
• Build partnerships with universities and research institutions for public health projects.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Public Health or Global Health
• PhD is desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in health program management

• Xhosa: Basic
