Special Education Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Coordinator to enhance the educational experience of students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will orchestrate programs that align with individual learning needs and facilitate collaboration among educators and parents.

Responsibilities

• Develop targeted IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead workshops for educators on effective teaching methods for special needs students.
• Support teachers in adapting curricula for students with disabilities.
• Advocate for students' needs and ensure access to necessary resources.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Conduct regular evaluations of the effectiveness of special education programs.
• Assist in behavioral interventions and crisis management.
• Report on student progress and needs to school administration and parents.
• Maintain comprehensive case files and documentation for each student.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialisation in Special Education
• Advanced Certification in Special Education is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Certifications

• Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT)
