Job Description

As a Dance Costume Designer, you will be responsible for designing and creating visually stunning costumes for various dance performances. You will work closely with choreographers and dancers to ensure that every costume is not only striking but also practical for performances.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop costume concepts based on performance themes.
• Interpret choreographers' ideas into practical costumes that enhance movement.
• Source and purchase appropriate materials for costume creation.
• Draw detailed sketches and prototypes before production.
• Ensure costumes meet the comfort and functionality needs of dancers.
• Manage costume-related logistics leading up to performances.
• Offer suggestions for costume enhancements based on dancer feedback.
• Document costume construction processes for future reference.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in costume design or fashion design is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in costume design, especially in performing arts settings

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite

Languages

• English: Fluent
