Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production efficiency, managing staff, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires a keen understanding of production management and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production meetings to discuss targets, challenges, and achievements.
  • Ensure that production schedules align with supply chain capabilities.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of production equipment.
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Develop training programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve production processes.
  • Ensure a high level of equipment reliability.
  • Report on production KPIs and recommend improvements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Operations Management is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role
