Seeking a passionate Veterinarian to join our Durban clinic. Responsibilities will include diagnosing illnesses, treating injuries, and advising pet owners on health and nutrition. You’ll be part of a team that prioritizes compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose injuries or illnesses in pets and wildlife.
• Surgically treat and prevent diseases as required.
• Engage with clients to explain veterinary procedures and care.
• Collaborate with specialists when advanced care is necessary.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation protocols in the clinic.
• Supervise junior vets and interns during their training periods.
• Participate in continuing education programs.
• Support shelter and rescue missions as needed.
• Implement new techniques for veterinary care.
• Manage emergency situations requiring immediate care.

Requirements

Education

• BVSc (Veterinary Science) with honors
• Specialization in surgery or internal medicine is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years experience in a mixed animal practice preferred

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic imaging
• Anesthesia management

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Client education

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in shelter medicine or welfare practice: Background in working with rescue organizations or shelters.
