Responsibilities

• Utilize software like AutoCAD and ETAP for designing and modeling electrical systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with South African electrical standards and regulations.
• Work with project managers to establish project scopes and objectives.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare mitigation strategies.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project progress and updates.
• Compile reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Assist in project cost estimation and budgeting forecasts.
• Implement energy-efficient designs to promote sustainability.
• Develop and support maintenance plans for electrical systems.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree would be advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design and project management
