DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will focus on automating systems and deployments to streamline operations. You will work closely with development, QA, and operational teams to accelerate the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce DevOps best practices.
• Facilitate the migration of applications to cloud platforms.
• Conduct security best practices for application deployments.
• Optimize existing cloud architecture for cost and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams for agile project management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar

Technical Skills

• AWS/Azure Cloud
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD tools

Certifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

Languages

• Experience with Terraform: Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana: Knowledge of monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability.
