Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our vibrant team at Animal Health Services in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to animals. You will diagnose and treat a variety of health issues, perform routine check-ups and vaccinations, while also educating pet owners on proper care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose animal health problems.
• Administer treatments and medications, including immunizations.
• Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring post-operative care.
• Record patient information and maintain detailed health records.
• Guide pet owners in nutrition, behavior, and preventative care.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Engage in educational programs to raise awareness about pet health.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical veterinary setting.

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic Imaging
• Nutritional Counselling

Certifications

• Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous
