Job Description

As an Investigative Journalist, you will be responsible for uncovering stories that matter. You'll conduct thorough research, interview sources, and produce compelling articles that shine a light on important issues affecting our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyse complex social issues for in-depth articles.
  • Build relationships with sources and stakeholders.
  • Draft articles and reports on critical findings.
  • Work with the editorial team to refine and publish articles.
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy and clarity in all written content.
  • Engage with the audience through social media platforms.
  • Assist in the creation of multimedia content for online publications.
  • Attend community meetings and events to gather local insights.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and news developments.
  • Offer mentorship to junior reporters.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Media Studies
  • Postgraduate diploma in Journalism is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in media or journalism, focusing on investigative pieces
