Job Description

As a Freight Coordinator, you will be managing logistics processes end-to-end, collaborating with suppliers and carriers to facilitate smooth transportation of goods.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select freight service providers based on performance metrics.
• Ensure that all shipments are tracked and reported accurately.
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure delivery schedules align with customer needs.
• Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers.
• Coordinate load planning and optimize shipping routes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in freight coordination

Technical Skills

• Freight Forwarding Software (e.g., Freightos)
• Database Management

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent
