Job Description

We are seeking a passionate General Practitioner to cater to our diverse patient population in Port Elizabeth. You will be responsible for managing acute and chronic health issues, emphasizing preventive care and health education.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed patient evaluations and diagnosis.
  • Manage healthcare plans and provide ongoing support.
  • Educate patients on health management and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize electronic records to document patient interactions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide mentorship to junior medical staff and interns.
  • Engage with local health initiatives and community services.
  • Contribute to clinic operational improvements and efficiencies.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB with further specialization preferred
  • Additional qualifications in family medicine or emergency care
Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in family medicine or urgent care
