Woodworking Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled Woodworking Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders to join our production team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain sizing machines, ensuring quality output and compliance with safety standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate woodworking machines according to specifications.
• Carry out routine testing and quality assurance checks.
• Adjust and modify machine components for better performance.
• Abide by workplace safety standards and regulations.
• Work hand-in-hand with other team members to maintain production flow.
• Keep accurate records of production statistics.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
• Provide support in other manufacturing processes when required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of production processes
• Ability to follow instructions

Soft Skills

• Good time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with machine maintenance and repair: Ability to perform intermediate-level maintenance on production machinery.
• Familiarity with quality control processes: Understanding quality assurance practices within a manufacturing environment.
