Environmental Engineer

Job Description

As an Environmental Engineer in Cape Town, you'll play a critical role in managing and implementing environmental policies. You will work closely with local stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental laws while promoting sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental monitoring and compliance activities.
• Facilitate workshops on sustainability practices within the organization.
• Assess and report on waste management processes and policies.
• Liaise with government agencies to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
• Draft proposals for funding for environmental projects.
• Develop public awareness campaigns about environmental issues.
• Work on continuous improvement initiatives for environmental systems.
• Evaluate the environmental impact of proposed construction projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline
• Master's degree in Environmental Sciences or related fields preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in an environmental engineering role
