Metal-Refining Furnace Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Metal-Refining Furnace Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating furnaces used for metal refining processes, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the metal refining process, making adjustments as needed to ensure quality output.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare reports on production metrics and furnace operations for management review.
• Assist with the training and onboarding of new operators.
• Implement and recommend improvements to operational procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain safety awareness and keep the workplace free of hazards.
• Assist in the development of safety training materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the operations manager.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Industrial Operations is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the mining sector
