IT Support Technician

Job Description

Looking for a detail-oriented IT Support Technician to help us maintain our IT infrastructure in Bloemfontein. You will assist in diagnosing technical issues and providing solutions to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. If you enjoy solving problems and working in a collaborative environment, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Identify hardware and software malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Provide support for remote users to ensure system access.
• Keep track of IT service requests and follow-up on unresolved issues.
• Be proactive in suggesting improvements for IT systems.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and updates.
• Document all support interactions and maintain records.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in technical support roles

Technical Skills

• Linux Operating Systems
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time Management

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• CompTIA Network+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with VoIP technologies: Basic knowledge of Voice over IP technologies and applications.
• Experience with ticketing systems: Working knowledge of IT ticketing systems for issue tracking.
