Crane and Tower Operator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a reliable Crane and Tower Operator to join our waste management team. The successful candidate will operate grapple equipment efficiently while adhering to safety standards. A keen eye for detail is essential to ensure materials are sorted effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials carefully, using grapple equipment to sort and stack efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding equipment status.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment by organizing the work area.
• Follow protocols for hazardous materials handling when applicable.
• Regularly review safety practices and report areas for improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of operational changes and updates in procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

Experience

• 2-4 years' experience in waste management operations preferred.

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Operation
• Basic Mechanical Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Forklift License (Preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Waste Management Practices: Any related certifications will be an added advantage.
• Ability to drive larger vehicles: Having a code 10 driver's license can be an advantage.
