Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Wildlife Veterinarian to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wildlife medicine and a commitment to conservation. Your role will involve treating injured wildlife, conducting health assessments, and participating in various conservation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fieldwork to assess and treat wildlife in their natural habitats.
  • Provide training to staff and volunteers on wildlife care.
  • Liaise with government agencies regarding wildlife health regulations.
  • Contribute to grant writing and funding proposals for conservation projects.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Additional qualification in conservation or ecology is a plus
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in veterinary practice, specifically with wildlife species.
