Job Description

As a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, you will be integral in assisting incarcerated individuals struggling with addiction. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual and group counseling sessions. Your expertise will help in fostering a supportive and rehabilitative environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on recovery and coping strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout treatment.
• Engage in crisis intervention as needed to support client well-being.
• Work closely with correctional officers to ensure a safe environment for clients.
• Prepare reports and documentation for treatment outcomes and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• Experience working in a correctional setting preferred
