Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Actuary to join our Johannesburg team. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial risks and developing policies that minimize the impact of those risks. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, along with the ability to use statistical models. Candidates experienced with financial forecasting and actuarial models will find this role particularly rewarding.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine predictive models for financial performance.
• Assess the financial impact of existing and proposed business strategies.
• Support the management of investment portfolios through rigorous analysis.
• Communicate complex statistics and findings in understandable formats.
• Serve as a resource for junior actuaries and provide mentorship.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Mathematics or Actuarial Science
• Master's degree or further qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in actuarial tasks or analysis
