Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will assess insurance applications and determine coverage amounts and terms while mitigating risk for the company. This role involves evaluating policy applications, reviewing financial information, and collaborating with agents to ensure comprehensive coverage for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Initiate reviews of insurance applications to identify risks.
• Work closely with sales teams to ensure effective coverage recommendations.
• Prepare reports summarizing findings and decisions.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
• Identify process improvement areas within underwriting practices.
• Participate in training sessions for junior underwriters.
• Conduct market research to adjust underwriting strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Business Administration

Experience

• 5 years of experience in underwriting within the insurance industry
