Responsibilities

• Assess and manage overall patient health and wellness.
• Advocate for patients' health and wellbeing in the community.
• Provide referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Implement preventative measures to improve community health.
• Participate in training of junior staff and interns.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Engage in research and clinical trials as appropriate.
• Conduct telemedicine consultations when needed.
• Ensure follow-up care and monitor patient progress.
• Participate in health outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery
• Further specialization is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years experience in a General Practitioner role

• Emergency care

Certifications

• Primary Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans to serve diverse patient populations.
