Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to be a vital part of our engineering team in Richards Bay. This role requires a strong foundation in chemical processes and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. You will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations while driving efficiency and safety in operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in the chemical plant.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators for processes.
• Conduct process simulations and validate results.
• Liaise with project managers on project timelines and deliverables.
• Facilitate cross-departmental meetings to discuss project progress.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Analyze production data to propose efficiency improvements.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control for projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in the chemical industry
