We are seeking a Geologist to support our projects in Johannesburg. Your role will involve conducting fieldwork, gathering data, and collaborating with engineers to ensure our operations meet regulatory standards while promoting an environmentally responsible approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise geological fieldwork and mentoring junior geologists.
• Utilize geospatial software to enhance exploration efforts.
• Assess the feasibility of new projects based on geological research.
• Provide technical support to drilling teams.
• Maintain records of geological data and samples.
• Conduct training sessions on geological methodologies and safety.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Geology or relevant discipline

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining and geosciences

Technical Skills

• Environmental Impact Assessment
• Drilling Techniques

Soft Skills

• Communication

Certifications

• Certified Mining Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Master's degree in Geology: An advanced degree is preferred for this role.
