Doctor (General Practitioner)

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Doctor (General Practitioner) who is passionate about patient care and community health. In this position, you will provide medical assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure exceptional quality of service and continuity of care for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine check-ups and health assessments.
• Manage and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries.
• Maintain open communication with patients regarding their health concerns and treatment options.
• Facilitate health screenings and preventive practices.
• Work in collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver integrated patient care.
• Monitor and provide follow-up care for patients to ensure recovery.
• Participate in hospital and clinic committees focused on improving patient care quality.

Requirements

Education

• Medical Degree (MBChB or equivalent)
• Specialization in Family Medicine or related is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a General Practitioner

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR): Knowledge of EHR systems to maintain patient data efficiently.
