DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team in Stellenbosch. In this role, you will streamline our development operations and enhance our cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will help us improve our CI/CD processes, automate workflows, and implement best practices that ensure a seamless integration of development and operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain cloud services to ensure uptime.
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
• Analyze system logs and metrics for performance tuning.
• Assist in capacity planning and development of disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate on system architecture design decisions.
• Train and mentor junior team members in best practices.
• Engage in research to continually improve cloud offerings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Ansible

Soft Skills

• Communication skills
• Analytical skills

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Docker Certified Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana): Ability to set up and manage monitoring dashboards.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring: Understanding of tools and practices to monitor infrastructure performance.
