Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment and improvement of environmental practices across various projects. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop effective strategies for waste reduction, pollution control, and resource conservation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and research to gather data on environmental conditions.
• Prepare documentation for permits related to environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on designing eco-friendly projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for environmental harm.
• Monitor project implementations to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
• Engage in continuous improvement processes to enhance environmental strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Certification in Environmental Management is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental project management
