Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing various civil engineering projects. Your role will involve collaboration with project managers and other professionals to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from the initial design phase to final delivery.
• Coordinate activities between different departments to ensure project objectives are met.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop and update project schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Environmental Engineering
• Risk Assessment

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in renewable energy projects: Knowledge and experience in the civil engineering aspects of renewable energy implementations.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams: Experience in leading teams across various engineering disciplines.
