Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will provide support for various financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting practices are followed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare budgets and forecast financial performance.
• Assist in financial planning and analysis.
• Provide support during tax audits and financial audits.
• Collaborate with financial teams for efficient reporting.
• Identify process improvements to enhance financial reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA) or ACCA) is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

Technical Skills

• Accounting Software (e.g., Pastel, Sage)
• Microsoft Excel

Certifications

• CA(SA) or ACCA

Languages

• English: Fluent
