Climate Change Consultant

Job Description

As a Climate Change Consultant, you will spearhead initiatives designed to assess the impact of climate change on our ecosystems. You'll collaborate with local governments, businesses, and stakeholders to formulate sustainable policies and strategies aimed at reducing carbon footprints and promoting environmental resilience.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive strategies for clients to adapt to climate change impacts.
• Analyze trends in climate science and policy to guide project direction.
• Engage in stakeholder consultations to assess needs and priorities.
• Draft policy briefs for government and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor the effectiveness of climate initiatives and report on progress.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity-building efforts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate climate strategies.
• Perform field research and surveys to gather data on environmental impacts.
• Review and interpret scientific data to inform decision-making.
• Advocate for climate-friendly practices across sectors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Climate Science or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in climate change consulting or environmental policy
