Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Steel Structural Designer to join our team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing steel structures and will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform design calculations to validate structural integrity.
• Contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices.
• Participate in site visits to assess project progress and compliance.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in structural engineering with significant steel project involvement

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• ETABS

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Steel Detailer
• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in advanced steel detailing software: Experience with Tekla or similar software is beneficial.
