Ledger Accountant - Port Elizabeth - Bookkeeping

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ledger Accountant to manage financial records for our clients in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess strong bookkeeping skills, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with South African accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial reports.
• Prepare payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws.
• Liaise with clients regarding their financial queries.
• Implement new accounting software and train staff.
• Monitor financial performance metrics.
• Ensure all financial transactions are processed in accordance with company policies.
• Manage and maintain accounting records and documentation.
• Provide financial analysis to assist in decision-making.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
• Recognised professional accounting qualification is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role
