Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care for animals, performing medical treatments, and ensuring the overall well-being of our furry clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare animals for surgical procedures and examinations.
• Provide pre and post-operative care to patients.
• Conduct client follow-ups and maintain relationships.
• Participate in outreach and educational programs.
• Assist in inventory management of medical supplies.
• Engage in community events to promote the clinic's services.
• Report any concerns regarding animal welfare to the veterinarians.
• Help in the design and execution of marketing campaigns.
• Assist with emergency cases as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Technology or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical or veterinary environment

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
