Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats while implementing security measures to protect our infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our network and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop security architectures for new systems.
• Conduct risk analysis for third-party software and services.
• Train staff on best security practices.
• Manage access controls and permissions for IT systems.
• Regularly test contingency plans for data breaches.
• Ensure encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest.
• Participate in industry conferences and training sessions.
• Prepare and present security reports to management.
• Research emerging cybersecurity technologies.
• Maintain logs and documentation of security incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Certification in Cybersecurity Management is a plus

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in IT security roles

• Firewall Configuration
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Certifications

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent
