Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing practice in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare, excellent surgical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing exceptional client care.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals.
• Perform surgeries, administer anesthesia, and monitor recovery.
• Educate clients on pet care and health management.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians for effective patient care.
• Assist in the management of the veterinary practice.
• Participate in research and advancement of veterinary medicine.
• Implement preventive health care measures for all animal patients.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Specialization in surgery/medicine is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in veterinary practice
